1. Information We Collect
When you use Fitness Fever, we collect the following information:
- Account information — name, email address, and profile photo you provide when creating an account.
- Health & fitness data — step counts, sleep data, and body weight imported from Apple HealthKit with your permission, plus workout logs, personal bests, and body measurements you enter in the app.
- Photos & videos — profile pictures, chat images, and exercise videos you upload.
- Chat messages — messages and images exchanged between you and your trainer.
- Device information — push notification tokens for delivering notifications.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide and improve the app:
- Displaying your workout plans, progress, and personal bests.
- Sharing your activity and progress data with your assigned trainer.
- Sending push notifications for scheduled workouts, PT sessions, and messages.
- Enabling communication between you and your trainer via in-app chat.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Your information is shared only with:
- Your trainer — trainers can see the workout data, progress, health data, and messages of their assigned clients.
- Firebase (Google Cloud) — we use Firebase for authentication, data storage, file hosting, and push notifications. Data is stored in Google Cloud data centres.
4. HealthKit Data
If you grant permission, the app reads step count, sleep, and weight data from Apple HealthKit. This data is used only within the app to display your activity and share progress with your trainer. We do not use HealthKit data for advertising or share it with third parties beyond what is described above.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile screen in the app. When you delete your account, all associated data (workout logs, measurements, personal bests, chat messages, uploaded files, and your user profile) is permanently removed.
6. Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Access to your data is controlled by Firebase security rules that restrict access to you and your assigned trainer. Authentication is handled by Firebase Auth with support for email/password, Google, and Apple sign-in.
7. Children
The app is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email.
